Travel and Lodging

Because of Balloon Fiesta (October 2nd - 10th), if you are coming from out of town, we suggest you book a hotel room and airline tickets as soon as you can. Rooms in Albuquerque fill up fast during this fiesta, and the Albuquerque airport will see more traffic as well. Each daily event can draw more than 100,000 people from around the world!

Lodging

Cerrillos is closer to Santa Fe than Albuquerque. There are many places to stay in either city in a range of prices. Albuquerque is typically less expensive than Santa Fe, but may be comparable in price during the Balloon Fiesta. Further, hotels may fill up fast in Albuquerque during this time. An alternative to staying in Santa Fe or Albuquerque is lodging in the mountains East of Albuquerque (near the wedding location). Lodging in this area consists of bed and breakfasts, hostels, and camping sites - no hotels or motels. Below is a listing of east mountain lodging, including contact information for each site and the town that it is located in. We've also listed some hotels in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas.
