New Haven, CT - May 2005

We arrived in West Haven in the late afternoon. After quickly checking in, we headed across the river into New Haven and spent the evening walking around Yale. We saw the Grove Street Cemetary but it is only open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., so we had to be content taking pictures from behind the fence. The cemetary is the first chartered burial ground in the United States, and many famous Americans are buried there. On the way back to our car, we stopped in at a free choral concert taking place in Woolsey Hall.
